Jia Shin ranked first in the women's single short program at the 2024 International Skating Union (ISU) Figure Skating World Junior Championships held at the Taipei Arena in Taiwan on the 28th. She edged out her competitors with a Technical Score (TES) of 41.31, an Artistic Score (PCS) of 32.17 and a total of 73.48.

Ji-ah Shin perfectly succeeded in her first jumping task, the triple flip-triple toe loop combination jump. She got off to a good start, adding 1.51 points to her score of performance (GOE).

She then went on to land cleanly on the double axel. She then performed the Flying Sit Spin at level 4, the highest difficulty level, and was able to further increase her score.
